Tune Up Cruise-in at Dairy Queen on US 27 (stoplight #6)
If you live locally or are planning on getting to town early, join as we relax and tell some cruisin' tales
while enjoying some tasty ice cream! This is a very relaxing way to kick off the cruisin' weekend.
Noon-2PM:
Early Bird Meet & Greet/Q97 Live Remote from Visitors Center!
1 block west of Kmart on Hwy 80, stop by and say "hi!", FREE Pepsi's and T-shirts along with great
classic rock from Q97! We would love to meet you!
6:30PM-10PM:
Season-ending Cruisers Banquet at The Center (light #15 on US 27)
Join us for the our yearly banquet as we wrap up another great Cruise season with some great food,
entertainment, door prizes and some tall cruisin' stories. It's a great evening of fun! Click the "Banquet"
button on the left hand side of the page for ticket info!
6PM-10PM:
Wal-Mart's Rock & Roll Block Party at stoplight #13 on US 27!
Bring your classic or hotrod and enjoy fun for the entire family! Door prizes, costume contests, food, live
bands and dancing! Over 250 showcars attend this event each month, don't miss it!

8:30AM-9:30AM: Saturday Morning Fun Run ***Grand Central Shopping
Center, at stoplight #18***Fun Run participants will receive a FREE
breakfast at the Rally Point before departing.
We depart at 9:30AM promptly for the October destination...the Old Mill at Mill Springs. This restored
example of a historic grist mill is a scenic backdrop for our final Fun Run of the year. Fall colors are
sure to enhance the short drive to the Old Mill and provide plenty of photo opportunities. Join us for
this relaxing Fun Run before attending our final Show & Shine of 2008!
2PM:
Cruise Entrance Gates Open in Downtown Somerset for the Show &
Shine!!!
Blocks and blocks of showcars and trucks! Stroll thru the downtown area admiring all the chrome
and horsepower, talk to car owners and enjoy the family oriented atmosphere! Don't forget to visit
our official merchandise trailer for the brand new '08 t-shirts for adults and kids while they last!
Certain sizes and colors may be in short supply so, get them early! In the Vendor Alley, you can
sample great food, check out vendor displays and shop for new performance and restoration parts.
There is always plenty to see and do at SomernitesCruise! Stop by the DJ trailer and leave us a
bumper sticker or dash plaque with your car club's name on it and we will display it proudly in the
trailer! You will enjoy the great cruisin' tunes all over town too!
October is 55-56-57 Chevy month!!!
Ahh those tri-fives! Shining crome and tailfins! Nothing says "cruising" like seeing a 55, 56 or 57
beauty rolling down the highway. This month we focus the spotlight on these classics and we invite
you to bring your baby out to be a part of the fun! All models of 55 thru 57's will be given a special
area inside the Show & Shine to strut their stuff. 210's, BelAir's, with or without continental kits,
original or custom...bring 'em all out for everyone to see!
Cornhole Tournament at Somernites!
Start practicing now for the monthly Cornhole Tournament to be held during the Show & Shine! The
Young Chamber Professionals of Lake Cumberland will host the games in the parking lot next to the
old Library. Registration begins at 2:00PM and the first cornbag will be tossed at 4:30PM. Cost is $20
per team and the winners will split the pot with the March of Dimes for charity. It's for a great cause
so, don't miss out!
2008 Rafflecar and Car Trailer drawings!!!: starting at 7:00PM on the
Square in downtown Somerset
It's our final show of the year so, it must be time to draw some lucky winners! We have been offering
tickets all year on that beautiful Red and Black Chevelle along with the awesome Car Trailer
courtesy of GatorMade Trailers! Starting at 7:00PM with the drawing for the Car Trailer and finishing
up at 7:30PM with the Chevelle drawing, we will be making some lucky cruisers very happy!
Remember, you do NOT have to be present to win...don't worry, we will call you!

Cruisin' The Strip!
We know it's one of the main reasons you come to SomernitesCruise so, get your car out on "the
strip" and cruise! Thousands of spectators waving and cheering from streetside! Lots of activities at
businesses up and down the strip. Tune your radio to 97.1FM for great tunes and cruise the night
away! There's plenty to see and do, just remember...we want to see you cruising your car or truck!
It's a blast! Have fun and we'll see you back next year!
